Fun for the whole family

The Good Old Days Return to Winfield

Winfield Good Old Days is set to kick off for the year  on Thursday September 5th.  Winfield's annual four day festival is going back in time and bringing back some of the crowd favorites that have disappeared over the years.    The Good Old Days planning committee is taking the community back to when times were simple.   The days where entertainment was found in spending an afternoon watching local fire departments battle it out in water fights, or watching your neighbors participate in a pie eating contest.

Technology may have advanced the ways that entertainment can be found in 2013 but you will be taking a trip back in time when you arrive at this years festival.   Events will kick off Thursday, September 5th with live entertainment, the St. John's Knights of Columbus Scholarship dinner and Winfield Lions Beer Tent.  You will find entertainment the rest of the weekend in the form of ice cream eating contest,  bags tournament, bed races, teen dance, bike decorating contest, health expo, walking tour, pancake breakfast, water fights, out door movies and so much more.  Keep your eyes peeled to the paper over the next few weeks as additional information is provided for this years festival.  If you are interested in being a participant or sponsor of the festival contact Jenny Saylor at sponsorship@winfieldgoodolddays.com.   Additional information and schedule of events can be found at www.winfieldgoodolddays.com and www.facebook.com/WinfieldGoodOldDays
